Using Computational Multi-Fluid Dynamics, the mixing of the components in a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) storage tank has been simulated. The numerical simulations depicted in the video above has been done using our CFD/CMFD software, TransAT. TransAT (Transport phenomena Analysis Tool) can simulate a wide range of single and multi-fluid/component flows with heat transfer. TransAT is particularly dedicated to predicting fluid-fluid and fluid-solid multiphase flows (CMFD), featuring large density and viscosity ratios.
